A Colorado native, Karisa moved to Melbourne in 2022 looking to begin her career in Physical Therapy after graduating with her Bachelor’s Degree in Sports and Exercise Science from the University of Northern Colorado. Karisa joined the Top Tier team shortly after moving to Florida as a Physical Therapy Tech while awaiting acceptance into the Physical Therapist Assistant Program at Eastern Florida State College. While in school she continued working to further her knowledge and gain clinical experience that would best prepare her to become a licensed PTA. After graduating from the program and receiving her Associate of Science Degree, she returned to Top Tier this time as a PTA. Karisa approaches every patient with a positive attitude and loves to see them overcome what once felt like impossible barriers; she is often heard cheering them on from across the room. Karisa strongly believes in helping others get back to doing what they love: whether that’s returning to a beloved sport, walking the beach, or performing simple household tasks. 

Karisa moved here with her parents and 3 dogs to spend more time with her relatives in Florida, get a change of scenery, and escape Colorado’s cold winters. Outside the clinic Karisa enjoys working out at the gym, visiting local coffee shops (and buying way too many t-shirts), looking up recent physical therapy research, and hanging out or playing pickleball with her friends from her PTA program.
