Lisa Medgansis, PT
lisam@toptiersportsmed.com

Lisa graduated from Russell Sage College with her degree in physical therapy in 1983. She has worked mostly in outpatient clinics with interest in treating both children and adults. Over the years, Lisa has added many tools to her “therapist toolbox” and has leaned toward gentler techniques. She has advanced training in Jones Strain Counterstrain which is a positional release of tight/painful muscles to allow correction of muscle imbalances associated with most injuries. She works with patients with various vestibular and balance disorders. She is a great believer in neuroplasticity-the nervous system’s ability to heal and adapt to challenges either related to adult injuries/ disease processes or genetic and birth injuries in children. When working with children, Lisa strives to keep things fun while working to maximize each child’s potential. When not working, Lisa enjoys time with family and friends. She enjoys reading, playing at the beach, traveling, and kayaking.
